Purchasing Manager

MS Shift is seeking a Purchasing Manager to join our growing team. The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for managing relationships with clients and ensuring their success with our software. This is a crucial role that requires a combination of relationship building, problem solving, and communication skills. You must be able to demonstrate that you are self-motivated, can work independently and take initiative and ownership for your area of responsibility. Your past experience will have given you first class organization skills as well as strong communication skills. You will enjoy working as part of a team and your customer focused attitude enables you to deal with people of all levels internally as well as with external customers and vendors. In a high energy, fast paced and achievement orientation environment, you need to be flexible and enjoy solving a variety of challenges and issues.

Responsibilities:

• Procurement & Vendor Management:
• Develop and implement effective purchasing strategies to meet business objectives.
• Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers and vendors.
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to ensure cost efficiency and quality standards.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to enhance business partnerships.
• Monitor supplier performance, ensuring compliance with contractual agreements and quality standards.
• Cost Control & Budgeting:
• Optimize procurement costs by identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• Analyze market trends, pricing fluctuations, and risk factors affecting procurement.
• Prepare and manage the purchasing budget, ensuring alignment with company goals.
• Implement strategies to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and enhance profitability.
• Inventory & Supply Chain Management:
• Ensure a steady supply of materials while minimizing excess inventory and waste.
• Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to optimize inventory levels.
• Oversee demand forecasting and procurement planning.
• Implement procurement automation tools to streamline purchasing processes.
• Compliance & Reporting:
• Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies and industry regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier details.
• Generate reports on purchasing performance, cost savings, and supplier efficiency.
• Address and resolve procurement-related issues promptly.

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management.
• Strong negotiation, contract management, and vendor relationship skills.
• Knowledge of procurement best practices, market trends, and cost reduction strategies.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, data analysis, and financial forecasting.
• Knowledge of import/export regulations and supply chain logistics (if applicable).

Compensation:

Base salary: $100,000-$130,000/year
